MOHAMAD ROZI LATIN
Mohamad Rozi Latin is a former member from Singapore Civil Defence Force elite team known as Disaster Assistance Rescue Team which is recognize by International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) under the United Nations umbrella and accredited ACTA and OPITO competence assessor.
He specializes in disaster emergency response and rescue operation onshore and offshore. Rozi also coaches offshore safety and survival training, confined space entry and rescue, vertical height rescue, basic and advance fire fighting, fire warden, offshore emergency response team member, offshore emergency response team leader, H2S awareness, helicopter underwater escape training and sea survival training.
Working as emergency response specialist gave him a great opportunity to expose himself in coaching oil and gas personnel from Brunei Shell Petroleum, Saudi Aramco, Malaysia Petronas, Singapore Shell Refining and Singapore ExxonMobil Chemical. He has more than fifteen years of experience in fire fighting, search and rescue and seven years of experience delivering emergency response and survival training. He brings his experience in real life situation to help others to gain knowledge, experience and action to take to keep survive and be alive.
GHAZALI RASUL
Ghazali is an experienced consultant, trainer and facilitator, with deep knowledge in the field of workplace safety & health, project management, sales & marketing, leadership and communication. He has a great passion for training, learning and development, and is able to work effectively with people at all levels. Ghazali is also an active participant in local community and social activities.
Ghazali has over 15 years of industry experience. He gained experience serving as a Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator with Sumitomo at the oil & gas (Jurong Island Project), as a Safety Assessor with Espirit Building & Engineering for both LTA & HDB Projects, and also as a Real Estate Consultant (Associate Team Director) at PropNex Realty in Singapore.
Ghazali played a lead role in the development of safety management systems & safety trainings at Espirit Building & Engineering for both LTA & HDB Projects. He had also achieved and being awarded the recognition of 2,800,000 Safe Work Hours together with the Sumitomo’s Safety Team at the Nalco EHCP Project @ Jurong Island.
Ghazali has experiences in conducting training workshops in Sales & Marketing, Safety & Health and Leadership Skills for executives in Singapore. He had conducted Safety Induction Courses & Risk Management Training for workers at all levels.
AZMAN THANI BIN ABDUL GHAFFAR
Azman Thani, 52, is an accomplished environmental, health and safety management professional with a 28 years of impressive track record heading fire protection and safety operations section in the public and private sector. He has a very extensive experience in various industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, marine and construction. His previous employers include Singapore Civil Defence Force, Shell, Sembawang Marine and Offshore Engineering, PTTEP Thailand DDW Paxocean Shipyard and Hock Liang Seng / Sembawang Design and Construction. Have a proven and documented track record of achieving success in the assigned areas effective in heading cross-functional teams towards achievement of goals and possess a strong ability to master a situation quickly with competency in devising significant solutions and implementing health safety management systems for maintaining sound environmental and safety conditions. A strategic thinker and problem solver with the capability to analyse key issues critical to business growth and leading an organization towards profitability by providing proper solutions while possess in depth understanding of various safety methods & proven abilities in coordinating and leading variety of people and projects with an ability to develop strategic plans.
MUHAMMAD KAMAL BIN KHAMIS
Kamal holds such appointments as President, Singapore Halal Culinary Federation; Co-founder, KitchenSq LLP; Executive Director, Global Halalan Toyyiban Academy; Allied Educator, Eduquest International Institute Pte Ltd; Board Member, World Islamic Culinary Society and has been in the hospitality industry since 1995. A graduate in Food & Beverage Management from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an industry ACTA-certified Adult Educator.
With over two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, Kamal has honed his experience through his positions managing banquet operation; cafes and restaurants operation; F&B openings and serving the Ministers, Royalties and Dignitaries.
He believes in educating and nurturing the future of the F&B industry through his active involvement in conducting lectures/classes for all walks at various institutions and platforms.
Locally, he has also offered advisory roles for Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industries, People’s Association, private practitioners and government bodies alongside making several screen appearances on lifestyle TV and also contributed many wellness recipes on print.
RAFEE EUNOS
Rafee specializes in supply chain management. His role includes Halal certification on regularities with MUIS Singapore and other regional religious bodies (JAKIM Malaysia and MUI Indonesia). This also involves managing Muslim workforce for the Halal requirements.
Currently Rafee is a consultant to Bigfoot Logistic Group. He is the "Korban Director" for the mentioned company. Rafee works closely with MLA (meat livestock Australia) and Sukofindo Indonesia to ensure that Singapore is able to import livestock in accordance to ESCAS (Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System) requirements.
Rafee has hands on experience on animal handling and animal welfare including Halal certification audit. He still holds to the position of Head Trainer for animal welfare and Halal Slaughter with the MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore). He is the Chief Halal Slaughterman of MUIS.
He has numerous years of experience in Food & Beverage and Hospitality industry. Rafee is also a licenced property personnel. He is extensively involved in Halal food licensing, regulatory requirements, advisory, food safety and work safety projects.
MD MAZLAN BIN BOYAMIN
Chef Mazlan was a Sous Chef at The Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. He is armed with Advance Culinary Placement Diploma by At-Sunrice Global Chef Academy, Johnson and Wales University, College of Culinary Arts. Chef Mazlan is also a Private Chef and Culinary Instructor for various Institution, Nutrition Company and School where he is actively invited and engaged as International Guest Chef to make special appearances in events or host a demo cooking for events.
He is a WSQ ACTA (Advance Certificate in Training and Assessment) Trainer with academics in WSQ Conduct Food and Beverage Hygiene Audit, Level 2 Foundation Certificate in HACCP (FCH), RSPH, United Kingdom and Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering, RSPH, United Kingdom. His passion also leads him to be certified in IOSH Managing Safely.
Chef Mazlan Boyamin with his 17 years experience in preparing a wide variety of Western, Asian and fusion cuisine for renowned five star hotel has been involved in menu design and creation, food safety and food presentation.
Over the years, he has served up a cuisine to the Singapore President at Istana and foreign dignitary. He also had the opportunity to be involved with various events with The Esplanade by the bay, Morgan Stanley, Rio Tinto, World Gourmet Summit, CLSA, Singapore Grand Prix F1 and many other corporate functions.
LOH ENG CHOON
Eng Choon, has more than 20 years of experience in operational and policy work in the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). His sound operational experiences were well tested through his appointments as the Commander of a Fire-Hazmat Station responding to emergencies in elevated risk industries; Assistant Director in Operations Centre managing the country-wide 995 Emergency Call Centre; and as Head Operations of 4th CD Division managing frontline emergencies across the entire western sector (industrial area and Jurong Island) in Singapore.
He was one of the pioneer team members to start the Hazmat build-up from its humble beginning. He was placed in charge with the responsibility in the Hazardous Materials Department to formulate policies and doctrines for Hazmat response to high-risk industries across Singapore.
In fire safety and enforcement, he was responsible for formulating policy to introduce good practices in fire safety and enforcement in Singapore. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Fire Safety Manager Scheme, Company Emergency Response Team Scheme, Licensing of Petroleum and Flammable Materials, Jurong Island contingency planning, and audit of high-risk installations. One of the key components of fire safety is the need to have a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and this is also a licensing requirement and it involves premises handling petroleum and flammable material or high-risk installation like the industrial premises and important facilities like hospital, health care facilities, and commercial premises. There are more than 4000 ERP submitted to SCDF annually.
Loh Eng Choon graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore. He has a Diploma in Ammonia Safety Handling from Hydro-care Industrial Academy (Sweden); Industrial Storage Tank Fire Fighting Instructors Program from Williams Fire and Hazard Control (USA); and Nuclear-Biological-Chemical Consequence Management Training from Marine De Pompiers (Paris and Marseille). He is also an approved WSQ trainer holding the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment. He has also obtained the recognition to be trainer in Malaysia for the Human Resource and Development Fund(HRDF), Train the Trainer. Eng Choon is also an ISO9001 auditor/lead auditor since 2011.
Eng Choon volunteers his time as a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers and is a Council Member in the Association and the Chairman of Professional Development Committee. He is also the Publicity Chairman for the Association of Company Emergency Response Teams Singapore(A-CERTS). He has devoted his life to the improvement of fire-life safety in the high-risk industries and areas of public interests. He is also an adjunct lecturer in several well-known institutions like University of Social Science, BCA Academy, and the ITE College West.
